HP Recycled is produced by International Paper in Inverurie, Scotland, which has an outstanding environmental record. Located on the River Don, a class A salmon and trout river, it owns and operates a biological water treatment plant, which means that the water used in production of the paper is returned to the river cleaner than when it was taken out. It has certified fibre traceability management systems (including PEFC and FSC chain of custody). Its manufacturing facilities comply with the most stringent current requirements with ISO 14001, 9001 and OSHA 18001 certifications. In addition 100 per cent of the mills energy is supplied through natural gas.
