Awagami Mitsumata Double Layered exhibits a smooth and elegant appearance with a rich, yet very subtle, gloss. In order to maximize the elegance and fineness of the mitsumata (Edgeworthia chrysantha) fibre, the papers coating is kept to a bare minimum. The result is a smooth and soft gloss finish for prints.

Mitsumata Double Layered is a two-layered laminated paper. The top printing side is composed of 100% mitsumata fibre while the back peel-away side is composed of pulp. The double layered paper is 95gsm in weight but after peeling the carrier sheet away the thickness is reduced to approximately one third of the original. Mitsumata Double Layered is recommended to use for scroll paintings, unique works of fine art or for antique print replicas.

It is the highest professional quality WASHI for use with full-colour inkjet printers.

Suitable for pigment and dye based inks. Acid free, no OBAs, pH neutral. Can only be printed on one side. 76mm core.

Please note, as washi papers are made of purely natural materials, very subtle variations can occasionally occur - adding to the unique organic and traditional washi look and feel.
