Arches BFK Rives Pure White is a prestigious printmaking paper and offers artists, printmakers and photographers alike the ability to create digital fine art prints on an authentic Arches paper for both limited and open edition work.

A soft, supple 100% cotton paper, Arches BFK Rives Pure White is a perfectly balanced lightweight cold pressed paper. The soft grain results in a lightly textured smooth surface that brings out the slightest detail in the image, creates sharp contrasts and produces deep, velvety blacks.

Arches BFK Rives Pure White is particularly suited to colour prints.

The unique inkjet receiver layer, specifically developed by Arches for digital printing, produces images with exceptional Dmax and perfect definition, along with an exceptionally high Colour Gamut and an excellent range of tones and good colour accuracy. It also delivers excellent contrasts, as well as perfect linearity in the black and colour gradients and increased brightness thanks to the whiteness of the paper combined with that of the coating. It offers photographers, artists and printmakers the opportunity to create images with a superb tonal range, excellent highlights and mid-tones.

The 310gsm paper has excellent bulk making for very stable prints. An ideal medium for portfolios and prints for exhibitions and for sale.

Arches master papermakers have been producing very high-quality fine art papers since 1492, and today Arches is the only paper mill in France using a traditional cylinder mould process for all its papers, including Arches BFK Rives Pure White. Quality is close to that of paper made by craft methods. The slow turning of the cylinder enables the fibres to be deposited evenly and spread in all directions over the wire. The paper is therefore more homogeneous and has good dimensional stability.

Arches BFK Rives Pure White has a pure white tone and is completely free of any optical brighteners (OBAs). In fact, Arches BFK Rives Pure White papers (along with Arches Aquarelle Rag and Arches 88) are the whitest papers on the market not to contain OBAs and provide a luxury rendering and a printed image with unequalled character.

With alkaline reserve, acid-free and no optical brighteners (permanent in accordance with ISO 9706) Arches BFK Rives Pure White papers are also ideal for conservation applications.

100% cotton. Soft textured single side coated matte surface, that is mould made (the finest and oldest paper-making technique). pH neutral. 76mm core.

Optimised for pigment inks, compatible with dye inks.
