Kapa Mount is a lightweight foam board with aluminium reinforced liners and chromo board cover layers. The panel is fire retardant and conforms to DIN 4102 B2 as well as EN 13501 1 E. Kapa Mount is ideal for screen printing and due to the aluminium reinforced liners, Kapa Mount is also suitable for mechanical lamination and wet lamination (even with solvent based glues and inks).
Key features of the Kapa Mount range include an excellent level of stiffness, easy processing and excellent cutting characteristics with standard blades, as well as suitability for manual and mechanical lamination (also wet-lamination).
Kapa Mount is ideal for use as a high quality mounting panel for digital prints and large format photographs, or for use as a fill-in panel for exhibition and display systems (offering extra aluminium stabilization for large-format objects).
For 40 years KAPA has been at the forefront of the manufacture of lightweight foam boards with a polyurethane foam core. KAPA is renowned for delivering high performance foam boards with usable surfaces on both sides, high quality cover sheet layers, excellent levels of stiffness, good dimensional stability and perfect flatness, even with thin boards. The polyurethane foam cores are exceptionally high quality with a very high heat resistance (100C long term, and 160C short term), problem free application of solvent based inks and glues, easy cutting (manual or with jigsaw) and no crumbling of the foam core.
