PCL3 Digital Labels are designed for use on SRA3 Digital presses such as Indigo, NexPress, iGen, Docucolor etc as well as conventional Litho.
The marine grade adhesive on this particular item is approved under BS5609 specification for hazardous drum labelling and makes the material a natural choice for harsh environments where durability and waterproofness are required.
The matt white PE label is a truly unique material that looks, prints and fabricates like paper but is durable like plastic film. The microporous structure makes the product absorptive, yet water resistant, soft but strong, highly printable and durable. The porous, uncoated nature of the sheet allows inks and toners to form strong anchor points with the substrate.
Compatible with numerous printing and finishing methods, it can be sheet fed litho, screen, laser, ink jet, thermal transfer and indigo printed with excellent results.
Material is waterproof, durable (chemical and abrasion resistant) conformable and offers a long-life alternative to paper labels. It is also steam sterilisable.
Backing is high density white kraft for flatness and stability.
Specifically designed for maximum stability and simplicity of use, the PCL3 Digital® format is based on the highly versatile and successful PCL™ (A4) format. Two A4 panels of labels are positioned on an SRA3 sheet with extra grip edges all round and a central gutter between. To help with positioning for guillotining for final presentation, crop marks are cut into the label surface to mark the position of the A4 sheet edges. All sheets have a "dry edge" on the long edge to ensure smooth feeding through all types of presses and no adhesive contamination on sheet edges.
For smaller machines not primarily designed for SRA3 sheets, PCL™ A4 label range provides the answer.
