Curious Translucent Papers are premium quality translucent papers for tracing, technical design and creative design applications. They represent a classic translucent sheet available in a wide selection of weights ranging from 80gsm to 210gsm. Smoother, less brittle and less prone to cracking compared to budget tracing papers. Not only does the range represent a premium quality solution for tracing and technical design purposes, it is also used for creative marketing and design applications.

For creative design purposes, the Curious Translucent papers allow your print to float and give a window into designs below, transitioning between diffused contours and full details. Add a special touch to your projects with Curious Translucents. Transparent and resistant to ageing this range is perfect for use as overlays and dividers for annual reports, brochures and catalogues; as well as also being ideal for use as invitations, cards, endpapers and unusual business cards.

Curious Translucents are perfect to be used alone or in conjunction with the luxury Curious Metallics range to achieve spectacular shimmer effects - the two assortments together will provide countless creative options.

The crisp, evenly formed papers are a pleasure to handle and easy on press, performing well with both standard and specialised print techniques, including offset and silkscreen printing. Please note this range is not guaranteed for use on Laser or Inkjet printers; however acceptable results have been obtained on some machines. Trials are recommended. 110gsm is the most suitable for Laser printing. For pre-printing prior to laser printing, high temperature resistant Fully Oxidising inks are recommended.

Finishing techniques include varnishing, embossing, gilding and shaping.
